I must admit I found the start stop feature a bit hard to get used to.
It was at Ford to adjust the driver's door which rattled on bumpy roads. They also installed a trailer brake controller for me. Ever since I got it back the start stop feature doesn't work at all. My Ford dealer is stumped. Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
Ford thinks it's just a coincidence that it hasn't worked since they had it last. It's now been there for a few days and I guess over the weekend too.
I guess they're done with my truck. I haven't talked to them yet but it appears they replaced the battery under warranty. I'm guessing they are going to tell me I'm not driving it often enough. They did say the battery was about 78% so the therory is that due to the lower state of charge the auto start stop feature would not turn on.

Is not the auto stop disabled when a trailer is hooked up? Could the installation of the trailer brake controller been done not quite right and this is causing your truck to 'think' a trailer is hooked up?

I have it on my 2017 2.7 and hate it. When I pull up to a stop light and forget it is on and it dies, I find myself modulating the brake pedal trying to keep the truck running. There have been several occasions that it dies just as I am starting to accelerate and the truck lurches.
Yesterday when I was driving my 2016 3.5 that is pretty much my weekend truck I caught myself anticipating it dying at a stop light even though it doesn't have auto start. It is even ruining my other trucks driving experience! LOL
When I read reviews from some folks that say they can't even feel it I am amazed. I guess I am just more connected to my vehicles operation than many.

With an easy bypass fix, or FORScan, it is amazing those that don't take 5 minutes to turn it off. Or push a button after they start the engine.

So, that's great! Just drop it into N when you approach a light and NO engine stop. I do it 90% of the time anyway because of the annoying way the truck continues to PULL (accelerate) on it's own. What's up with THAT?

Try it some time. You won't believe the difference. Must save brakes big time.

correct me if I'm wrong but the ability to use forscan for this was only discovered recently...until that point it was only the jumper wire option. I was fine with either, but don't have a laptop that I can install ForScan on anymore. So even that 5 min fix requires a 45 min drive to access a laptop that can do it. I will be doing this next week though

I bought a cheap Win 10 tablet to carry in the truck, much easier to handle than my laptop.. And now I always have it with me just in case there is another must have at once Forscan break through..

I can understand your thoughts here. Usually is it noticeable but I'll swear to this - There are some times that with music up to cover the sound, I don't feel it at all. It must be something to do with transmission situation, grade... something. I want to say it's happened like this with a slight descent.
