Wireless charing
If the charger was very visible then i could see paying that but for that cubby hole down there where no one really sees its a lot of dough. just get one of these charging pads and place it in there. If you really want to get fancy you could drill a to feed the cable through the corner and hardwire the cable so its clean like this. You could also get some really short usb cords which would be the easiest and look clean still. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/Qi-Wireless-...0enji3N55iyKcQ
This would be perfect because its non slip

I believe the floor shifter in the F150 actually still has a cable to the transmission. The dial shifter obviously does not use a shift cable, so I don't believe a retrofit will be cheap or easy.

I'm not sure if this is the same, but I purchased a Ford wireless charging kit for my 17 fusion and it was total junk. It uses it's own standard that didn't work on any phones with wireless charging built in. You have to order a wireless charging phone case from the charging kit manufacturer(it comes with a voucher for a free case). I found that they didn't offer any cases for most of the newer phones.

Yep, I see that now that I looked at the 18 Expedition brochure. Wonder why they still sell the crap accessory kit, but acknowledge that isn't what people really want but doing it properly in a new vehicle...
