Default Wiper issue

Hi, Today my wipers took over.
What could be wrong with the wiper when it won't shut off?
The rest of the controls on the stick work, ie directionals, washer and the wiper controls all work as they should.
It just doesn't completely shut off
It constantly operates on the slowest wipe setting.
Any ideas where to start?
Thanks!

congratulations. You need a new windshield wiper stalk. $30 and 10 minutes should get you setup to fix you truck.

It’s called “ multi function” switch. Easy to replace.

Same thing happened to me when my truck was 2 years old. Dealer replaced the switch under warranty.

I agree, the stalk. After you buy one (Amazon) and watch some videos, looks easy. While waiting, maybe pull the fuse.

Same thing on my last 2016 F150. Wipers went to high one day, had the multi-function switch changed out under warranty and good to go after that. Good luck.

Same on mine. Picked up a replacement from Rockauto.
10-15 minutes and all good.
Sad something so simple goes bad all the time....

Default Fixed

Changed out my control stem. Fixed the wiper issue, but It didn't correct the cruise control.
Dealer changed out the "clock spring" and now it all works as it should!
