Default Wiper Blades - Offset Hook - Important?

Hello,
I noticed my 2016 uses offset hook adapters for the windshield wipers instead of just the standard hook install. How important is this? Anyone gone away from using offset and went with traditional hook in the center of the wiper? Does it stop short and miss wiping the extreme drivers side edge of the windshield? Any other cons or negative side effects?

thanks,

Ryan

Can you provide a picture of the offset you are talking about?

I just installed new wipers on my 2017 and didn't notice anything different.

I replaced my wipers with normal wiper blades I think they were RainX. I haven't had any problems with them or noticed any differences.

To add to the confusion, I installed Bosch wiper blades to my 2015. They hop across the surface of the windshield; seemingly on their own accord. Honestly it seems to happen the most when it's raining a lot. Sometimes not.
