It's been a little crisp here for the last week, hovering in the -35 range. Had to put on a jacket this morning.
My turn to drive this week, and truck has been working great. Takes a couple minutes for the square tires to get round, but other than that it pumps out the heat, shifts properly, etc. Even the heated seats come in handy on these cool days. Drive a little slower, take your time, and everything will work out. Only thing extra I do is carry boots, mitts, wooly hat for the just in case stuff.

Once the snow is higher than your bumper you're not going anywhere.

Anytime it snows here I sit back, have sip of McAllen 18 year and watch the show outside.

Thank you Shaun for your public service, you all don't get enough praise from the public! Stay safe out there, its pretty bad up to your north. The KanDrive has us with more snowpacked than the guys in north central who are dealing with icy roads.

I hope everybody stays safe in this storm. We are supposed to get high winds and rain then turning very cold.

Luckily, my holiday travel consists of a trip to see my mother 7 miles from my house and a trip across the street to see the in-laws.

It was an interesting evening, the roads started to clear until the freezing fog rolled in and they went to crap again. Not too excited about getting back out in it again tonight. Earlier they considered shutting down US54 due to visibility and ice issues.

Hope ya'll don't forgot to keep necessary supplies in the vehicle in the event you're stranded or of extended period road closures.

Having a nice truck is only part of the preparedness.

The only thing I'm seeing is a blizzard warning in my forecast, around 8" of snow, and high winds. Temps don't look that bad, but we'll wait and see. If I have to get out, I hate to do it, the 150 is spotless and tucked away in the barn, but if it's really bad Christmas day, reckon I'll have to get it out. Otherwise, my Ranger will likely be fine.
Anyone out there, be careful, look way ahead of yourselves, and be safe, especially you Shaun and the rest of the LEOs.
