Windshield Washer Pump?
Hey y'all. I did a brief search beforehand but didn't find anything so if this is a duplicate my apologies.
I just noticed last night that after I turn off the truck, Every minute or so, I can hear some type of electronic cycling. This is usually normal and is heard as a hum. I hear that and know it's normal. This new buzz sounds exactly the same as when I engage the windshield washer fluid. It kept doing it every minute or so. I tried turning the truck on, driving around the block and shutting it down. Disconnected and reconnected negative terminal. Seemed to stop for the night. I drove in to work this morning and everything seemed fine. Started up at lunch to move to an overnight parking area. About 15 minutes later a buddy told me I had blue stuff leaking out of my truck. It's windshield washer fluid and it's leaking around the hose for the front camera. That might be where the leak is or it's just running down. Should be an easy fix. The thing I'm concerned with is the cycling after the engine is off. I also get frequent messages on Ford Pass that my truck is entering deep sleep mode to conserve battery. I think these two are related, but asking if anybody has had this issue.
I'm not terribly worried, truck is under extended warranty through Ford, just curious until I can get to the dealership early next week. Thanks. Details in sig.

Follow up: The truck issue didn't resolve itself so I took it into the dealership after obtaining a video of the truck modules continually running after the vehicle is shut down. I removed the battery prior to taking it in to the dealership and had it tested at Autozone. The test came back good. The dealership ran a diagnostic and told me that there was a dead cell in the AGM battery. Something a regular battery test wouldn't pick up? They replaced the battery ($260) and the issue resolved.
Just so y'all know if you didn't already, if the battery is dying, the electronic modules will try to run but it drains the voltage in the truck, putting it into deep sleep mode (notification on Ford Pass). Once you drive it and get the charge back, it will be fine until you shut down and those modules try to do their thing. Battery replacement should do the trick.

The "battery tests" done at your local Autozone/parts store are questionable at best. They'll work if the battery is in very bad shape. They are somewhat more indicative if the battery has been sitting a while. But usually those tests are being done minutes after you pull up, which means the battery still has significant surface charge from the alternator. In that case, they're pretty close to worthless.
Hello everyone, first and foremost, thank you for this thread. I ran into the exact same issue with windshield washer fluid leaking from the front camera area on the grill. I also noticed that my auto start/stop feature had not been working for some time, which initially led me to replace my AGM battery.
During my troubleshooting, I discovered a few other issues as well—most notably, I could not change the drive mode using the button on the shifter. While researching, I came across forum posts explaining that a low-charge AGM battery can cause certain non-essential electronics on the F-150 to shut down.
I checked the voltage on my old battery and found it was at 12.1 volts, whereas it should be around 12.6 volts. I didn’t think that small difference would matter, but it made a huge impact. I picked up a new AGM battery from the dealership yesterday, and it completely resolved all of my issues.
