Default Windshield tint issue??

I went to my local highly rated tint installer yesterday to have my windshield tinted. He spent 45 minutes and 2 sheets of tint and was unable to get it to stick to the windshield. He said he's never had this issue in 22 years. He thought it had to do with the "Soundscreen" windshield...anyone else have any issues? Film was Suntek CXP. I've never used any weird chemicals on the window and it was thoroughly cleaned.

Nope, my Installers had no issues at all. It did take them a while but almost all the time was them getting the fitment perfect before applying the film to the inside of the glass.

No problems here. I had 3M Crystalline installed on mine.

No issues at all. I have Soundscreen windshield and had Huper Optik Ceramic installed with no issues at all.

Sounds like the installer had a bad day or was trying to install an inferior product. From what I have heard Suntek is an inferior film.

Try another installer.

You must mean the Rain-X Anti Fog...good call. I did not think of that.

If you are a smoker/vaper, that will affect the installation as well...even though a good tint shop will thoroughly clean the inside of the windows with a vinegar/alcohol based solution.

I think you need to find a better tint shop.

Also...once you do have your windows tinted...NEVER use ammonia based cleaners...they will damage the tint.

I would like to get my front windows and windshield tinted but I'm not sure what the percentage is. Am I asking it right?

I mean you could even use rainx window cleaner, and that would put a partial wax on it. I'd assume some people would be convinced to apply rainx to the inside, in thought that it wold just make it easier to clean in the future? Basically implying any type of residue/wax between the tint and the glass.
