Windshield Replaced
I have had my 2015 f150 at the body shop for the past week. They had to repair the roof gutters at the base of the windshield due to cracking. So in order for them to do that, they had to replace the windshield. They replaced it with a factory carlex windshield, has the ford logo at the top. The thing that i noticed, is my original windshield, said soundscreen on it and had the soundscreen above the vin tag. This new OEM windshield, looks just like the original, but instead of having soundscreen on it, it just says Acoustic-GenII, at the bottom center. No soundscreen markings on it anywhere, is this the same thing? Or better?

You can go here and see if the part number matches: http://carlex.com/parts-search/
When I replaced the glass on my Fusion, I contacted them by email to verify the part number.

It seems to be an acoustic windshield, just not saying SoundScreen on it. Also, does anyone know where i can get a new built with pride sticker, to put back on the windshield? I think mine was built in Kansas city. Will the dealer have these stickers?

I reached out to the UAW local 249 union and they sent me a few decals for the windshield

I just had my windshield replaced on my 2017 KR and ran into the same thing. I was concerned when I didn't see the Sound Screen on the new windshield. I questioned the installer from Safelite and did my own research. I am convinced that I got an exact replacement windshield even though it does not say Sound Screen. The National Auto Glass Specifications (NAGS) number is DW02355 GTY on both windshields. This crosses over to Ford number HL3Z 1503100 B which appears to be the correct windshield for my truck. The first picture is the new replacement windshield (yes it is from the back, I didn't want to bug the installer too much), The 2nd is the old stock windshield. So far everything appears to be working and I am not getting a Lane Keeping System error. On my short trip using the Lane Keeping System it appeared to be working normally. The installer was able to salvage all the stickers off my old windshield. I am very pleased with the installation so far.
