Default Windshield

I took a rock to the windshield the other day and need a new one. I believe my truck has had one installed before I bought it because there was not any ford stuff on it, including the build location decal.

Did all 2015s have the Ford oval on the windshield? or do you know what part number I need to get the Ford oval?

Yes - Factory F150 windshields do come with the F150 ''decal''. Also, in the bottom center of the windshield where the middle sensor is, there is also a Ford writing with other information.

I had mine changed by a Ford dealer (manufacturer default) and they installed a factory one. If you go at a glass shop, chances are that you will get an aftermarket windshield with nothing on it (like the one currently installed on yours)

Your best bet would be to have it changed by a Ford Dealer, but it might cost you a lot more.

EDIT : Glass shops might be able to order Ford genuine parts as well.

I'm needing to get mine done. I've got a glass shop getting a ford windshield for me but its going to run about $515. Yikes man. Its why I haven't been in a rush to replace my windshield. Also mine does not have the ford oval but i'm guessing thats because I have the rain sensors.

Tasca lists them here.

Any glass shop can get genuine OEM. You just have to be mindful as they may bring you an aftermarket just as quickly and still charge you for an OEM part. Some insurance will try to not pay for OEM if you are making a claim. I just paid the difference out of pocket and, on the third try, actually got them to bring me a BMW OEM windshield for my wife's car....

Just received a phone call from the local glass shop. They will only use Factory Glass on newer vehicles. So she got all my info and I'll have a new one installed Monday with the Ford oval.

They would do aftermarket if paying out of pocket.

Went through Geico to get mine done and it asked if I wanted OEM with the Ford logo or generic. Geico has no deductible for windshield replacement.
