I agree that this is the culprit, and that it can be overwhelming to find the individual problem. I was hoping somebody may have an override to at least be able to roll up the window but that doesn’t seem likely. Thank you for your help.
Try clearing any codes. Then put the truck in full accessory or ignition ON mode without starting the truck. You may then be able to close the window using the Master Window Switch. Don't know if this will work, but worth a try.

Update on the truck. Has been in the shop for 2 days and they believe the problem may be somewhere in the dash. Dealership spent over 4 hours running diagnostics because nothing was making sense. Usually when the MS-CAN system is down the entire circuit is down but there are two parts that are working with the rest not.

Dealership reached out to Ford directly to see about a solution because they said all shop manuals state that they should replace the entire wire harness which means they basically have to take apart the entire interior of the truck and then replace the harness. Tech said if that is the case they aren't sure it is worth it which really confused me since the truck only has 110,000 miles. Hopefully they get some guidance from Ford on this because they seem to be stumped.

Another update- truck is still in the shop- going on day 5. The tech at the dealership is thoroughly confused because the diagrams that Ford provides do not match up with what is actually in my truck. Ford instructed the dealership to check two connections on the truck and neither are located where Ford, or the schematics, say they should be. As a result, ford is sending a Field Service Engineer to work on the truck. We have no clue when that will happen and are stuck playing the waiting game. Thankfully I was able to get a loaner truck which I was initially told would not happen.

Has anyone had experience with Ford engineers needing to work on their vehicle? Little nervous about how this will all shape out but praying to finally get some answers. Thanks!

When my 2016 Lariat 502 did this it was the AIPM at fault. Had AIPM replaced under extended warranty all has been good since. Everything comes thru that unit and when it dies funky things happen I lost everything but radio and it wouldn’t shut off.

Default same problem

2017 Lariat 95,000 miles, having the exact same issue. Started with the blind spot/cross traffic detection/airbag fault and then the running boards will quit working and put themselves in the "off" mode and will not let you switch it back. Now PW/PL not working and no power will come on to the Heater/AC panel. Have had the drivers side running board replaced 2x and the passenger once as well as the rear back up detector and the self parking/lane assist sensor. Currently also waiting on Cam Phasers to come into the dealership (on backorder over 30 days) to have those replaced. Not so happy I went with this truck...

Doubtful you will get a reply. Looks like he came here, joined and posted to get help, and hasn't logged back in since end of June 2023.

Same question, do you have BLIS? If so, check the taillights for water intrusion. The BLIS modules communicate over the MS-CAN bus, as does the DDM (Driver Door Module) which controls the window, and many other modules. If you find water, the taillights need to be disassembled at the BLIS module, water removed and dried out, and the electrical connector to the BLIS module cleaned so it makes a proper connection on all circuits.
