This 100%. I have 3M ceramic 50% on the windshield and has cut glare down significantly at night. Wouldn't be without.

Is the darkness on those back windows provided by a tint type covering that doesn't provide any heat reflection or the is the glass made at that color? Adding a layer of tint on top of what is already there would make it too dark right?

All my windows have UV language stamped on them. I forget what my back windows came tinted stock, but I added 20% tint on top of what was there and it comes out to about 6%

For those that did window tint on the pano roof. What tint percent did you use? Its already darkened so does it make sense to put a dark tint on it or just put on clear?

And what is a good ceramic tint? The place I'm looking to have it done has a XPEL XR Ceramic or XPEL XR+ Ceramic. About $50 more for the CR+

I’ve tinted a few vehicles over the years and most states have laws for how dark to tint. I’ve also tinted a sunroof and would recommend both the front windows and the sunroof as it not only helps with temperature control but also helps with blocking uv rays.

I did the same thing I did on everything else. 20% I didn't want to be so dark I couldn't see anything through it but I guess it depends on how you use it. I got the XPEL ceramic. You won't regret it. I definitely wouldn't do clear.

question for those tinting the sunroof. when i had a BMW people that tinted the sunroof had issues with the glass exploding from the heat build up, anyone hear about this happening to the F150's?

I have put 3M Crystalline on every window in three separate vehicles. That includes panoramic sunroofs and three windshields. You can put like Crystalline 70 on the windshield and you won't really know its there. I don't think you would start noticing darkness issues on the windshield at night until you get to 50 or darker. I run tint on my front three windows in a state where ANY tint is illegal. I run it for the UV and IR rejection so I don't get trucker tan and its more comfortable in the vehicle, not so much for looks.

According to the law, you have the right to tint the windshield only a little because if the level of windshield tinting is high, visibility at night is essentially reduced. You will also get a huge fine for the violation, and you will be required to remove the tint. I used to suffer from high temperatures inside my car too. My wife advised me to buy a sun visor from Snap Shades, and I listened. This visor does a great job of protecting our baby from the sun, and most importantly, it reflects most of the heat, which makes the overall temperature in the cabin lower.

Tint for privacy, ceramic for heat reduction. You don't need tint for heat reduction and it doesn't make much of a difference. Ceramic on the other hand, will work wonders.
