Default Window tint and window visors

Does in-channel vent visors mess with your window tint?

No, because the visor hits the outside of the window and the tint is on the inside.

It can. Because the in channel visors apply pressure to the glass as it goes up into the channel. That added pressure can cause the tint to wear or even separate at the edge. I've even seen the outside edges of the glass get all scratched up from the in channel design. While that design looks the best, I'd never do it to my truck because of the scratched glass edge.

If the tint does start to peel back because of poor adhesion or pressure, you can trim it back with a straight edge and new razor blade, should be good to go from there. I've never had a issue with tint and in channel visors, but maybe I've been lucky. LOL

Had both on my Ram 1500 and my Explorer with no issues. Getting ready to do the same on my 18 XLT

Top of tint should not go all the wall to edge of glass, should be about 1/2 to 1/4 inch gap for this reason. Thats the way I was taught to tint!
