I think I'm just going to tint the front windows for now to make them closer matching with the back but probably lighter cause I want it to stay legal or only slightly illegal. Now the front windows are 70-75% from the factory right? I was told to get 35%, I would have to put 45% film on the front. I might just say screw it and put 35% film on them. I'm a taller guy and looking at it, I think the window tint strip would be right in my line of sight. The front side windows are mainly what's bothering me right now. I may consider 70 or 80% super light tint on the windshield down the road, so it dosen t stand out. The front windows I don't want to stick out as "tinted" either but just want the heat reduction and more or less closer in tint with the back windows to make things more uniform.

I just went 35% all the way around, added to the factory tint in the rear I find this incredibly comfortable. Plus I tinted the moon roof as well. I never liked the strip across the front. To me it takes away from the looks on the truck, I would either do a light to the whole thing or not at all. For me just doing the sides i have already found myself not wearing sunglasses anymore in the truck. Plus my viability at night is perfectly fine.

5% for the back windows on top of stock tint and 20% front 2
Plan on doing the front window as well

I was so happy with that tint, My 17 Platinum has the Llumar ceramic tint. They still make the CTX but came out with an even better one, the Formula one Pinnacle ceramic. I did 30% on my truck front doors. I did 80% Llumar Air on the rear doors, rear window and the moon roof. It all matches well. It rejects heat well also. I am going back to have front window done in 80% Llumar Air.

Do you have any issues with polarized glasses on the windshield or other windows? I don't know if I've used the ceramic tint or not, or whether it'd be any different from the poarized perpspective

Either he only sees out the windshield at night or his 5% film isn't actually 5%.

Anyways, you will definitely get heat reduction with the lighter tint as long as you go with a quality ceramic film. A good quality film will also appear to be lighter viewing from the inside out.
Told you lol.

YMMV

20% is extremely easy to see out of at night was my point.

Your truck, your choice. Thanks for your opinion.

Being in Law Enforcement in my younger years, I tend to side with caution as to what is safe for the Police Officer. Again we all have our reasons and free to make our own choices.
