Thanks guys, some good ideas to try.

Yeah, i have well water and have no choice but to wash in the sun then immediately pull the truck in the barn for a wipe 'n dry wax.
I'm extra careful to keep the truck soaking wet before pulling in the barn.

Still, i don't have this issue with my other vehicles i wash 'n wax the same way.

Gonna try some of the ideas here and also wash the windows first before waxing.

Don't need this procedere every time...and is the only way I have found to clean the inside that works without any smudges
be careful with magic eraser. It's not magic but like mild sandpaper.

I have used my blower for years to dry my vehicles with no problems except strange looks from my neighbors.

I've had my eye on this automotive blower for a while, but the price is a little high.

For anyone who thinks using a leaf blower is unsafe in anyway check out Matt from obsessed garage's video. It one of his older videos but it still applies.

No leaf blower in my case. I live on a semi-gravel road with dust raising up all the time from traffic.
I'd end up sand blasting my truck's paint little by little.

$419 I was just going to look at getting one of these. Guess that plan is gone out the window.

Well water spots are likely calcium deposits which would be alkaline in nature.
On the other hand, vinegar is acidic which neutralizes alkaline substances.

Seen a vinegar based glass cleaner on the shelf in the store today.
Immediately tried it out once i got home. It looks promising though i couldn't tell for sure as the truck was out of the sun where these water marks show up.

Might even try adding a little more vinegar in that cleaner container.

I forgot to mention that there's more aggressive clay bars out there if y'all ever have issues with your usual clay. For example, Chemical Guys sells various strengths for different scenarios.

I would also think that something like Meguire's ScratchX or Ultimate Polish would remove spots.

Maybe a cleaner wax too. Just throwing ideas out there.

for those recommending wax, is this like a carnauba wax or some sort of glass specific wax?

As someone else said, I cannot see how using a wax on your windshield would leave your window streak free.

You can use carbauba paste or liquid and sealants on glass to get some good water beading. I don't do it personally because Rain-X liquid works for me. None of those should streak if the surface is clean prior to application. The only reason I don't wax the windshield is because the wipers would probably wear the product in that area quicker than where the wipers don't make contact. With Rain-X, I don't perceive the areas that the wipers make contact with.
