Default Will these buff out?

Looks like they're getting worse, not sure if it's from the drive through car wash or what. Has paint protection film and the letters appear to be on top of that? Is that how that would be done? Are they repairable or just replace them? How big of a PITA are they to replace if so?

I don`t know what kind of gook is on them, but "I" would try a little polish, or if that don`t work, acetone on a rag. It looks like the same crap on the lip of the hood. Pretty sure those letters are just double sided taped to the hood, so you can take them off with the help of a heat gun & fishing line.

Well, if the ppf is over the letters, then maybe. You could just try a hair dryer. They don`t get as hot. If/when you take the letter off, you are going to have a "letter" size hole in the film.

Paint protection film? Sounds like a scam. Your finish doesn't need any protection at all. Maybe wax twice a year. If the PPF was applied it is unlikely they removed the letters but who knows.

Drive-thru car washes save trucks where I live. How else do you clean your truck when it’s zero degrees?
