Only 2018s have the built in WiFi hotspot.

Use your phone or other LTE device as a WiFi hotspot. Or you can get a WiFi hotspot kit from your mobile phone provider.

If you have an iPhone you can turn on the hotspot and others can then access it. It will drain your battery fast though. You can also buy a Verizon Mifi 7730L hotspot.

A much better solution would be to download movies to the iPad and watch them direct. Amazon for one allows you to do this. Or, you can copy movie DVDs with software and then play them on an iPad.

If you have a laptop, you can download a bunch to it, then transfer them to the iPad as they watch the ones on there, replenishing the inventory.

I use Android devices, but many have a memory card where you can put additional movies. And then have multiple memory cards loaded with movies.

OK, so your truck should have a 'wifi' option. In effect, it acts as a router but it needs something with an internet connection tied to it (your phone). You can then connect other devices to the truck wifi to use the phone internet.

Sorry not the case on the 15 & 16's, the truck does not provide hotspot services.16's with Sync3 can join a wifi network for upgrades, but that's it. Just need a standalone MiFi or use a phone as a hotspot.
