It really is ridiculous at this point.

Ford left the MFT system as it was a flash based operating system that was lacking in hardware as well as programming ability. Currently, Sync 3 is running on QNX which is owned by Blackberry. Now before everyone jumps on the Blackberry is garbage bandwagon let it be known that QNX platform is used in almost 50% of infotainment systems across the auto industry. While there are still lots of bugs in the Sync 3 platform just remember that we are still in software version 1.0 and I'm sure that over time there will be improvements to better the system.

I had MS Sync in my '11 Fusion and my '13 F150. So far, the Sync 3 in my 2016 is so much better there really is no comparison. As far as ipad integration, that would be a deterrent for me. Not a fan of Apple.

What's wrong with Sync 3?

It is LIGHTYEARS ahead of my 2013 Sync 2 system.

I used to get so mad I'd yell at the truck when trying to operate Sync 2.

Hasn't happened with Sync 3, yet.

MFT is also not Microsoft. It's Ford. MS gave them something and Ford mucked it into MFT. What they installed is so far away from what MS used to call Sync it's crazy.

If you don't like Sync 2 or Sync 3, blame Ford. While Sync 3 is based on QNX, it is still Ford putting it together for their vehicles.

Let's start with constant bluetooth connection issues where you can be listening to music then the connection drops, but the phone still works. have to disconnect and then reconnect to get it working again.

When listening to Sirius, turn off car and get back in for it to kick out of Sirius and switch to AM. Not sure why...

Black Screens where nothing shows up but audio is playing

Phone messages that won't go away unless pressed "connected to phone" "battery low" these messages should disappear after 10-15 seconds but they don't until you press close, yet all other messages disappear automatically.

Don't get me wrong, Sync 3 is leaps and bounds above Sync 2 but there are still a lot of bugs that they need to work out. I also have been into my dealership many times for service trying to get these issues resolve but after resets, and re-install of software the only thing we can come up with is that its software based and just have to wait it out.

I personally have experienced none of these things, maybe you need a software reset? (on your phone)

Odd, in the 164 hours of Bluetooth music listening I've done in my truck I haven't had a single issue. Maybe your phone is at fault? Maybe you have an issue that should be taken up with the dealer? Way better than the sync 1 was in my expedition, especially after the last update.
