Why can't I get my radio or any audio to turn on?

Lmao just got my F-150 Platinum back from the dealer, they had it most of last week for issues with the paint and I've only owned it for a little more than a week...now this happens for the first time. Maybe I should have gotten than 2500 HD Denali.

Black screen, no radio.
2016 xlt 200 miles. Radio stops, seemingly random, while driving. Sometimes the clock in upper right is visible. No buttons work, but will play CDs. Soft boot doesn't work, as the buttons don't work. Did soft boot after the radio came back on. Had the issue before I synced my phone, so that's not it.
Key out, open door, close door, restart, seems to work. In the last 100 miles this has happened about twenty times on five occasions. I'm on my first tank of gas, grrr.

Add me to the list. 2016 Supercrew XL 2.5L Sport 4x4 with 2600 miles. Bought September 5th. Built in February. Was running errands in neighborhood with wife. Engine cut-off automatically and I put in park but screen immediately turned off, which I thought was weird. When I turned engine back on, screen remained off. Back-up camera, radio, bluetooth - nothing worked. Drove home and tried to do the reboots mentioned online but black screen was completely unresponsive. Left off in driveway for about an hour, went back and still didn't work. Woke up this AM and turned on truck and it worked again. I have a long drive into the city each day so no audio is unacceptable. Starting the documentation process in case this turns into a lemon issue.
Have service appointment tomorrow at 4p to ask them to update ACM per SSM 45945 and hopefully install the Sirus update SSM 46016.
EDIT: Also wanted to mention: last week, my bluetooth froze after a call and could not access the screen until I disconnected and reconnected the phone. Further, sync has to re-download the phonebook every time I get in the car, which doesn't sound annoying unless you have to make a phone call right when you start the vehicle (which always seems to be the case with me) and want to use voice commands and are forced to wait 10-15 seconds until it downloads. Not a major gripe but if I can fix it, I would like it fixed.

Check your "build date." If it is prior to 4-15-16 SSM #45945 may take care of the issue. After months of sniveling, mine is now working as it should.

The tech hooked into their diagnostic then checked for updates. There was a Sync 3 V 1.9 released yesterday and he tried to upload it. There was a server issue with Ford and he couldn't do the update (according to his information, it is about 1 hour) which is a dealer install only. (Also since this is a new update and my system is the first he is doing with the 1.9, he doesn't know exactly what's in the update).
I'm rescheduled for Friday morning (because of my schedule) and will post what how the update goes and what changes, if any, I find on Sync 3.

I had the dreaded sync 3 no audio issue in my 2016. Fortunately I have an excellent dealer and the salesman continues to go out of his way to help me with anything. Thanks to y'all I forwarded them the bulletin from a few pages back and they were right on it. Gave me a loaner while they updated the system and fixed the module or whatever and even sent the truck out to tint my front windows for me while they were at it! total time about 4 hours while I was at work. Hoping this does the trick. thanks again for posting the info and all the updates on this frustrating issue.

This just happened to me today in my 2016 f150 lariat. So add me to the list.. i popped in a cd and it made it work again. Still showed as the radio was off on the screen but it was playing a my sirius station i was previously listening too. Couldnt do anything to the audio except listen and turn the volume up and down.
