Default Who has placed D rings at their bed bolts?

I'm looking to place D rings for anchor tire downs, on my bed bolts on my 2017 F150. Who has done this?

Did you reuse same bolt? If not what length and Patten dud you use? What torque specs? What D ring/hardware?

Thanks in advance!

I did mine on my 2017. You coming from a Tacoma? I'll have to dig up what I used and the pictures and I'll post it for you.

Here are the D-rings I used (model A). I spent a lot of time looking for the best ones so I'm not sure there's a better set out there. The hang up was the large diameter of the bed bolts. I had to drill the hole bigger, I recall the bit size. I've used them on large\heavy pieces of furniture with no issue.

Those look good. Any that would work without drilling out a larger hole?

I wanted to do this but was worried that the factory bed liner was applied over the bolts thus creating a seal.. could be removed BUT chip away any bed liner?

I am about to haul two fat tire bikes this week down south and I'd love to be able to have D rings in the bed like that..it'd make strapping down so much easier

These might be better. Higher working load limit & black to match

Did you put the factory bolts back in? Were they long enough with the edition of the D rings and washer?

If your bolt is not long enough for the thickness of a washer.. your bolt is WAY too small lol

Well I haven't taken mine out yet. Between the washer, and the D ring you could be up to a quarter inch of increased depth. If the bed bolt only protrudes into the frame by a half inch, that is a significant reduction of depth. If people are reuseing the same bolt without issues that makes things easy, and I would follow suit.
