Default Who Has Changed Front 2018 Grille Emblems?

Do all the '18 Ford grille emblems have the extra black surround piece attached to them? The custom emblem I bought off of ebay that is supposed to fit my '18 sport grille(no camera) does not.
I bought from the seller joefairlane that a lot of others here have used. nice quality but I'm not sure it's going to fit.
Fast forward to about 6:35 to see what I'm talking about in this YouTube video.

I ordered a set from joe fairlane off ebay and installed them today, my special edition has the black surround. Took the 2 bolts out of my hood latch and moved it out of the way, was able to swap the front emblem with no other disassebly. Very happy with the end result.

Every 2018 front oval I've done has the black surround. Not to talk craps about competitors, but Joe has a lot of unhappy customers. Half of the emblems I do are people unhappy with him. Just ask member gingerbredman

And it's one piece? So, if the one I got from ebay does not have the surround attached to it I'm basically screwed and it's not going to fit correct?
I just need a 2018 front Sport Grille Emblem for my XLT in gloss black and Race Red "Ford" lettering. Please PM me so I can order one from you.
thanks.

This is very interesting. You did this on a 2018? Any pics of the hood latch bolts? There was room to get your hand and a wrench in there?

Yes, take out the 2 bolts that hold on the hood latch and pull the hood latch up on top of the core support. If you dont have giant forearms you can reach down the hole in the center and take the nuts off the emblem with an extension and a 10mm socket. I also used a stick magnet to catch the nuts, otherwise they may disappear. When putting it back together, I used a piece of double sided tape to hold the nuts on the socket just enough to get it started, then pulled the tape off and ran the nut the rest of the way. I didn't care to pull the whole front end of my truck apart, so I found an easier way.
