I can't take credit for this (tmcolegr) but here is a TSB refercing what Ford deems warrantable and not with regards to paint.

Mine on my Oxford White are doing the same thing. I need to take it for warranty. I've also got a couple of the "chemical pops" that they mentioned. They look like rock chips in places you couldn't get a rock chip, and there's no dents.

I think it is assumed that one should be able to wax their truck. And that a mfg paint job should be able to withstand it. If it doesn't withstand it, then it is defective paint job. OP even used a major brand.
Just imagine all the car washes that could void your warranty. It would destroy that industry if that was the case.

I have a hard time believing it showed up after the wax. Mine has been like that since day one and I haven't waxed it. I saw someone complain at one point that theirs were "pearl" when the truck was oxford. Since the pearl is slightly yellower than Oxford, I assume that it actually was just yellowed. I think it's just a manufacturer's defect/a difference between painted plastic and painted metal.
