Default Where to hook to my truck

I know this is a question I should (and probably do somewhere deep in my memory banks) know. Say if another vehicle gets stuck and needs a little help getting going where should I hook the tow strap/chain/cable to my truck. Trailer hitch? Front tow hooks? ???

Never the trailer ball. Front tow hooks and put a proper attachment point into your trailer hitch.

Tow hooks or put a strap around the hitch pin.

Use a shackle like you linked, or just a strap with the hitch pin through the eyelet. I only use the front hooks for getting pulled out. I wouldn't advise trying to pull people out in reverse. I've seen on here where people did and messed up the transmission (somehow).

Just hook it around your exhaust, or the radio antenna, you know, something solid

A brake line has always worked pretty good for me.

Thanks, I know better than to use a chain. I just wasn't thinking (which unfortunately happens more and more).

Depends on the chain. I have chains that I guarantee you wont break.
