I have looked through the owners manual twice and cannot find mention of this light in the lower corner of the front doors. It's on a 2017 Lariat. I thought it might be tied to the emergency flashers and light up when the door opens. Tried that and nothing happened. Just wondering under what circumstance this should come on, IF at all.

 

It's just a reflector so people at night can see your open door.

 

Well I thought that, but it looked like there was a bulb inside. Maybe not though, I didn't' have my cheaters on ! Thanks !

 

That's interesting. Mine doesn't have that on my Limited. The ambient lights In the door switch to red when it is open though.

 

My 2015 Lariat 502A has these,,, And I swear that they used to light up till I did the spotlight on at any speed mod.. That's when I noticed that they weren't lighting up.. But after studying the manual and checking on line parts suppliers it appears that it's nothing but a reflector as I can't find any wiring diagrams showing power going to them.. Stll planning on someday popping them off and checking for wires and bulbs..

 

It's a reflector only...pops out to give access to a bolt/screw that holds a module in the door from what I remember.

 

Wow, my 2016 502a lariat doesn't have those. Are they on all 4 doors?

 

No, they are on the front doors of an Super Cab.
