looking at a set of takeoff chrome 20" factory wheels. were these available with the hd towing package
or FX4 option or were only 18" wheels allowed. thank you for the info ? i have a 16 xlt supercab with the FX4
option and 18" factory chrome wheels. bought used with 10 ply michelin 10 ply tires.

FYI they are most likely NOT chrome. most likely PVD. your 18" are fine.

 

I have a '17 king ranch with FX4, Max Tow, and the 20" chrome wheels. Yes, they are chrome, not a plastic covering. So yes, the 20" wheels were rated for the max tow package.

 

every 21-22 with 20s around here with 20" just say 4x4. no fx4. one riend is towing a travel trailer,
but he has no idea what tow package his truck came with. guess ill have tio see his window sticker.
didnt know the 20s werent pvd coated . i thought they were like the 18s on the late models. thank you !
