Husky sent a replacement for the passenger side and it's exactly like the first one: does not fit.
The reseller, which I found through this forum, and Husky don't want to refund the money so I just burned $100 and will have to buy the OEM that I knew I should buy in the first place. Lesson learned. Bought Weathertech floor mats to avoid the fitment mess. Done with Husky.
I'm pretty un-handy with vehicle mods and the installation of the Husky liners couldn't have been simpler or quicker on my 2016 SCAB. It was only around 52 degrees when I did it this morning but still had no problem getting them in place.
The trick I found was to push on the section behind the wheel while pulling a bit on the front or back edge to get it to slip easily behind the plastic bolt thingys that hold the wheel well trim in place and get the liners to lay flat where they're supposed to. Total time including reading the intructions twice was no more than 20 minutes and they look great. Here's before and after shots of the passenger side.
