Default whats the biggest wheels and tires we can use with a leveling kit

someone at ford told me we cant use a 20x12 wheel with a leveling kit cause it will rub biggest we can go is 20x9 is this true ?

I put 20X9 (0mm) with 305/55R20 (33X12.50) Toyo AT2 on a 2.5" leveled 2WD the other day and it rubbed the crash bar a bit on the driver side. With 20X12, you would have to run a really small tire or cut into the crash bars and possibly the fenders/bumper.

Depends on the level kit. BDS 2.5 inch is pretty typical. They state up to a 35x12 tire with a 17x9 wheel. 20x10 with a 35 tire might work but check the documentation with your particular lift kit.

You can do a 22" as long as you match it with the right tire. Offset of the rim also makes a difference.
