Default Backup led on all the time

This light is on all the time even if I turn the lights completely off and in park. Any idea if it's a setting or something else is wrong? This truck is new to me. It's a 2019 f150 xlt.
Thanks

I don't have that light. Here is a mod where folks have added it to their trucks. Maybe its a Forscan setting that has caused it to stay on all the time. Maybe a bad connection somewhere. Anyway, here is the thread. Hope something in there helps you out.

Nevermind. My mistake. I just setup a camera and it turns off when driving. Only turns on when I open the door. Kinda weird there is no setting to not have it turn off when you open the door.

It's not a backup light, it's a courtesy light that comes on (and goes off) with the puddle lamps under the side mirrors, so you can see the ground around the truck when you get in and out of the vehicle at night. There aren't any settings in the menus for any of the courtesy lights. Mine turn off 30 seconds after a door is opened or the truck is unlocked with a fob.

I appreciate that Ford went with the tailgate light instead of turning on the backup lights, like GM trucks. I hate driving through parking lots and seeing trucks/SUVs with their backup lights on, trying to figure out if they're really about to back up or were just unlocked.

I agree. And the LED courtesy lights and puddle lights look really good at night.

My add-on backup lighting is powered from the trailer 7 pin >center feed< lead connected behind the Bumper.
That center pin/lead is only powered in Reverse for Trailer use and separate from the OEM backup lamps/circuit that are no-where near bright enough.
Tail Gate light is for the back-up Camera area and Trailer to Hitch connection viewing area anytime it comes on.
