Curious what everyone has out there and if they'd recommend it or go with something different. Enjoy your day.

I have the Retrax retractable hard tonneau cover and love it. A bit pricey but it locks, has been water proof in even the heavier down pours, and is easy to roll back and forth. It was between the Retrax and Roll n Lock which is also a great retractable cover.

Tonneau covers! That's something that has never been discussed here, how have we missed it?!

Seriously though, you will find soooo many threads on this topic if you just used the search function and would have had to write fewer words. It would also help if you think you need a very personal recommendation if you give us some hints as to how you would use it.

For example, I got the BakFlip MX4, which seems to be the front runner by a wide margin in terms of the average 15+ owner on here. It's a hard top though, expect to pay $700-ish.

Do you want a soft cover? That's different. Do you have a budget?

If you find that one of the many threads with pages of data doesn't fit your need, just let us know what you are looking for. Otherwise this will just turn into pages of people saying what they bought, and unless they hate it, everyone will say theirs is great and you are effectively right where you started. For example, I got the BakFlip MX4, it is great, and it's definitely the one you should buy. Zach@RealTruck (https://www.f150forum.com/members/za...ltruck-262590/) here on the boards is a vendor/site sponsor and gives a great price, in fact he has an MX4 Group Buy in the vendor forum section right now.

Anyway, if you want to do some reading, here are some of the bigger threads I have been through before I found by searching for tonneau cover.

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/i-wan...hlight=tonneau
https://www.f150forum.com/f118/under...hlight=tonneau
https://www.f150forum.com/f118/bakfl...hlight=tonneau

Here is a HUGE thread, with poll!

If you decide on a hard folding cover, take a look at the UnderCover Ultra Flex that comes with a 5 year warranty.

I had bought the cheapest tri-fold tonneau cover (aluminum frame and vinyl material) I had found on Ebay for my previous truck. After 3 years it still looks brand new.

It all depends on your budget.

When I bought my 2012 used it came with a Truxedo Lo Pro QT on it. The few years I had it I did not have any issues and it help up great. I ordered a new one when I bought my 2016.

Default Ford OEM Tonneau

I have an OEM ford Tri-fold tonneau. With what I researched, it is basically the BAK hard folding cover. Was planning on doubling that cover with a set of bed rails, but the dealership had an issue with ordering the parts.
Highly recommend OEM or BAK.

Im surprised nobody considers the Leer Trilogy X2T, seems like a very nice cover and does not use drain tubes--anybody have one of these yet?
