My uncle just ordered a 15 XLT 301a and in his package it lists all the options and prices it includes that one option is spot lights $300!! Just curious what it is that's all the dealer had no idea what it was!!

 

Same as previous gens under mirror Pudfle Lamps, only the 15s have leds Finally

 

Actually, I believe the puddle lamps are separate. The spot lights are turned on inside the cab and are much brighter than standard puddle lamps. I believe they co-exist, so you still have the puddles and then have the option of turning on the spots when needed. The spots are designed more for lighting up a work area to the side of the truck.

 

Ok well that's wrong. The spot lights are on the side of the side view mirrors and are spot lights to illuminate around the sides of the truck not under it.
And if your dealer had no idea what it's about you probably shouldn't be buying from them.

 

Lol. Thanks guys!!! My dealer only has 4 on the lot and no brochures yet!!! So you basically Build on website and take It in and make your final adjustments and they submit, should have his truck in April!! They gave him $8000.00 off MSRP and that's what I kinda figured they were just the puddle lamps !!

 

They are not the old puddle lamps. They are a separate LED light in the outside edge of the mirror that will light up a fairly decent sized are to the right or left side of the truck. They are switched on and off inside the cab. They do a good job if you need something like that. I can see where they may be useful.
