What should I get?

Technically if you want the fastest one of the bunch you need the 2.7L EB. Then if you want to race, just build a little boost before you take foot off brake and it will launch. No 5.0 will keep up with the 2.7 and the 3.5 is pretty close but still not quite as fast.
That said from what I've been told the '16 3.5 will have same tech as '15 2.7 so it will likely take the crown back......

EDIT: I did drive both before I bought and they are in fact pretty damn close when unloaded. The 2.7 *felt* like it spooled a little faster and ran higher boost psi , but that was seat in pants feeling and without data logging or accelerometer / timing, however the 3.5 just ws a bit more beastly in pulling harder,.

What exactly is the source for this ? Equally equipped trucks (weight, size, gearing) the 3.5 is simply faster. From what I've read the 2.7 "feels" faster because its always higher in the rpm range , but please show some stats. Either stock or tuned , 3.5 is faster when apples to apples.

To the OP. If you tow heavy - only one choice. The 3.5 eco blows away the 5.0 towing. Even hooking up an 8-10k lb trailer, the eco with run a 1/4 faster than some diesels...

In my opinion after 6-7 months of reading online...i would go for 5.0 for reliability, V8 sound, and peace of mind over the 3.5 Twin Turbo.
If money were not an issue and if i could afford to buy 2 F150s then i would get 1 of each. haha

Thats why I went with a brand new truck with warranty service and no major issues to be spoken of. Reliability and peace of mind are important, in a new model truck the warranty is good enough protection.
