Default This is what Iv'e got.....

2015 F150 4x4 5.0 , 2112 payload capacity, 3375 front gawr, 3800 rear gawr, 3.55 ratio. and a 14400 gcwr. What is my towing capability? Truck registration says it weighs 4800 lbs. Sorry to keep bringing this thread up, but cant get a straight answer so here are all the numbers. I also added load range "c" tires that would help payload capacity but not sure if it would help my towing capability numbers. Would I be right to take 14,400 lbs minus 4,800 lbs =9,600 towing capability?

14400 Gross Combined Weight Rating. Subtract the registration's estimation of 4800 for the truck, and you have 9600lbs leftover for fuel, your butt, your cargo, and your trailer. That 9600 needs distributed across the axles so none of the other numbers are exceeded (payload and axle ratings).

If you want to be exact, go put your truck on a scale sometime to get the exact figure.

Also keep in mind those figures are for using a weight distributing hitch. You are not supposed to exceed 5000lbs when towing without a weight distributing hitch, doesn't matter what any of the numbers are without it.

Your payload sticker says 2,112?

Yes, my yellow sticker in door says 2112 payload capacity. I know it seems high compared to the tread that asks about gawrs, ratios, gcwrs. Not sure why mine is higher than most I've seen.

I think the Trailer Tow package actually cuts into the payload a good bit.

I have the tow package, not the max tow package.Maybe fx4 has more payload? Maybe they just left some parts off my truck! Lol

I've used this calculator to get an idea of what I can tow.
