Default What Is The Easiest

Way to level my XLT with 18 inch wheels with minimally modifying the quality of the ride?

I've never modified the heighth of a truck; however, I keep scraping curbs because of the wind deflector thing under the bumper.

Would a small front level work? Is there a size?

I am an idiot at this kind of thing.

Thanks,
Joey

The air foil can be removed lots of posts with people that have done it, and not noticed any negative effects.

The easiest would definitely be to remove the air dam, but if you want to level the truck, there are tons of leveling kits out there. They are inexpensive, and not a very big deal to install one either.

What the hell kind of monster curbs do you run up on??? Lol

Just take off the deflector. Simplest but sounds like either that or a minimal 1.5" level will do. Won't affect ride quality.

It's very weird. Most curbs aren't a problem, but probably 3 out of 10 are just a hair or two high and I hear the air dam scraping.

The negative effect of removing the air dam is more under carriage air turbulence, which reduces ride quality. Some find it acceptable, I did not. I've never dealt with the curbs you're talking about but did add a 2" level and left the air dam on. I prefer the look without it but a smoother ride in the cockpit is more important than a slightly cooler looking truck on the outside.

*preface this with being smart@$$ but wouldn't the easiest thing to do be to back it in or stop short of the curb?
