What does the HDPP include
Yea and I didn't have to spend the time, trouble and labor gettings the x-tras installed. PLUS my door sticker is legit!
This statement is misleading, based on the fact that in order to have the highest payload ratings available, the 7850 lb max GVWR with HDPP frame is required as part of the factory build. The only way it would possibly decrease payload is, if placed on a non-HDPP lower payload truck.
What's more confusing is my MaxTow truck also has the HPP frame (same one in HDPP), but less payload (only 1,458 on my truck), so what else is included on HDPP trucks? I only know of an extra leaf on the rear springs, but anything else? Just curious. Thx.
You do not have the same frame. You/our hpp sticker is .1” frame wall thickness
true HDPP is .11” being the 10% greater
Additional frame thickness is great and all... but I know of no half-ton trucks which are payload-limited by the cross-section of the frame. And Ford doesn't factor the thicker frame into GAWR; in fact, the heavier HDPP frame actually decreases payload in comparison to the other frames available on the F150.

- How many pounds of capacity does the thicker frame add to rated payload due to its additional strength?
- How many pounds of capacity does the thicker frame subtract from rated payload due to its additional weight?
I have one for sale in Burlington VT in case anyone is interested.
