If you read what I posted, you can see that I am not "tapping into the 395 horses". I mentioned that the truck bucks and such when lightly accelerating in traffic. Only an idiot would tap into the 395 horses in stop and go traffic! The 395 horses isn't anything special anymore, especially when I have a 435hp Mustang and a 675hp Phase 3 Roush Mustang.

I think you need to read it again... You misunderstood what I was saying.

You did give me a little laugh tho, that when I goose it from 35 to 50, I'm reckless.
Yet I'm sure you've never given either Stang. a little throttle..? I think someone isn't being truly honest

If you can jump from 35-50mph, you're not in stop and go traffic. Stop and go is just that, constantly stopping and maybe getting up to 25 or 30, but then you have to come to a stop again. Of course I've nailed the throttle on all of my cars, but not in stop and go traffic! I'll do it when the roads are mostly clear, as I'm sure that's when you're doing it.

I have an update on this..

I took my truck to my local dealership to investigate the drivability issues. They had my truck for two days and never even looked at it. When I called them and asked about it, they said it was driven by the tech and that the computer was hooked up to it and it would be completed on day 3. I went to the dealer to pick up my truck as I needed it on day 3 and found that they lied to me. The odometer said 1304 when I took it in and it was at 1304 when I picked it up.

Took it to a second dealer and they wanted to charge me for the diagnosis if nothing was found. I said it was under warranty and had less than 2000 miles. They said if they found nothing wrong, they couldn't submit a warranty claim and I'd need to pay. So, needless to say, I left that dealership also.

Scheduled my third appointment with a 3rd dealership. They went on a test drive with me and acknowledged that it was a horrible ride. I got a call from them stating that they found the issue was cylinder 1 and cylinder 6 was misfiring. I thought the truck ran about 75% better after picking it up, but decided that now I needed to let the trans learn and maybe that would make it 100%. Well, a couple weeks have gone by and it still sputters and chugs. I looked at the service paper work and it doesn't say what was fixed, only the diagnosis. So today, I went to the dealer and asked them what was "fixed" Turns out the tech notes state that they found cylinder 1 and 6 misfiring and that the truck needed TSB 17-2262 applied. According to the notes, only the PCM TSB was done. Absolutely nothing mentioned about the misfiring issue. So now I know why it still sputters.

Taking it back in for the 4th time now to hopefully resolve this issue. I can't say that I'm happy with Ford Service at this point. 2900 miles and the truck has been in for the same issue 3x and needs to go again. I wonder what'll be resolved when I tell them my dash is warping, the XM radio goes intermittently dead, and the gas pedal has a vibration in it.

I would call Ford and open a case with them, especially if this turns into a lemon issue. I'd also send a letter (you know, paper, stamp, all that) to the general manager and service director of dealerships 1 and 2.

I feel for those that have drivability issues like a rough shifting 10 speed transmission.

When I bought my 18, there were a few occurrences of rough downshifting, not many at all. That issue had disappeared and the transmission is wonderfully smooth on either up or downshifting today. I do have the 3.5L engine, 20" wheels and 157" WB if any of this matters.

Absolutely nothing mentioned about the misfiring issue. So now I know why it still sputters.

At what RPM range is this happening? My truck is at the dealer for a similar issue and it has the tech stymied. I've been told they have a called FoMoCo for engineering assistance. My 5.0 idles fine, makes great power and runs smoothly upon any degree of acceleration... but at a steady-state throttle position, and at a steady-state engine RPM from roughly 1400 - 2100 it drops a cylinder or two. Annoying as fudge.

My sputter happens while accelerating and cruising. The acceleration is not a smooth linear pull. You can feel slight hesitation in every gear as it accelerates. When driving around 20mph near a red light that's about to change, when I accelerate, the truck will buck or sputter as it accelerates. I seem to feel more between 3rd and 4th gear. The dealer used IDS during a road test to find the misfire. I don't know what IDS is, but that's what my service record states.

Or at least two. The 8 speed in my Grand Cherokee is soooo smooth.
