What did you do to your truck today?

I know it. That's why I'm so curious what your thinking..
My keys usually end up where the "Phone Slot" is more than my phone.
So that's not a bad spot and if you ever wanted to a new rubber insert would hide any mod there.
What about inside the front cubby on any of the sides.

Hey, two questions on those 5100 shocks: Aren't they upside down? And is there any problem having them that way? With my Husky liners, it'd definitely be easier to install them that way, provided no water gets to them upside down, shortening their lives. And second, which tools do you need to replace them? Keep reading that you need special tools to compress them, which makes no sense to me, but maybe it's true. Just like to know which tools are needed for a DIY job alone. Thank you.

Happy early birthday to me. Borla Touring cat back. Very mellow sound, just right for a daily driver that I drive 40k+ a year. Plus it looks KILLER.
Gonna let it break in for a few days then get a couple sound clips.

15mm socket for the bolt, 18mm socket for the nut on both ends.
Shocks come with a strap keeping them compressed, make sure it stays on during installation and take it off only when you're done. Jacked the truck under the frame in front of the front leaf spring mount, about where the gap is between cab and bed on my 6.5-foot bed truck.
Edit: Torqued at 66 ft-lb which is apparently the factory torque on the OEM shocks.

Be sure to torque the rear 5100s with the truck on the ground, with the rear suspension at normal ride height.
If you torqued the fasteners to spec with the axle hanging in the air, just don't off-road the thing or have ten people jumping up and down in the bed until you loosen the fasteners, then put the truck on the ground, then torque the fasteners with the rear suspension at normal ride height.
Easy peasey.

More on the blackout front. Installed smoke third brake light. Cheap $16 solution to get the look I wanted, matching the license plate lights. Bed light is pretty useless, but since I have a hard tonneau, it's a non issue. After I installed, it rained, which was nice, as I was able to see how it performed in the rain. No leaks, at least that I can see at this point.
