What did you do to your truck today?

Used it. Bought one of those Harbor Freight Cargo Unloaders. Put an 11x11 tarp underneath. Best $45 I've spent on the truck so far.

Go to Cigars International and try their 5 Vegas line. My fave is the double Corona classic. A box of 25 should run around $80 plus shipping. I pay for 2 day which IIRC is $16. I usually order 4 boxes at a time to make it worthwhile.

Had sport wheels put on. So much better than the 15-18 STX wheels. Now I just need to get the center caps in since the ones from my old wheels are too small.
I also installed a half width console vault. Now I can store my gun and still have some of the console to use at the same time.

Must be a lot of fun! I just had my 2017 STX custom tuned. With the mods my little 2.7l is now making 432 at the crank and 312 at the wheels. I just got 12 gallons of 100 octane yesterday and oh boy! Once Barona reopens it's running their ⅛th mile.

Its very sturdy. It's fairly thick steel with no flex. I got it for the same reason, I was just leaving my gun in the console with it locked when needed but that is easily defeated. I've had a gun stolen out of a truck before and don't want a repeat. I also didn't want to loose unsecure access to the entire console.
The install requires removing the rear cup holders, rear panel on the console (2x 7mm bolts), and the two rear 10mm bolts. You then lift the rear of the console up and slide a plate with nuts under. You then drop the safe into the console, drill 4 holes and screw into the bottom plate. I think on of my nuts fell off so I only have 3 bolts securing it.

I took the trim off my original XL steering wheel and lightly sanded it and gave it a few coats of paint and some clearcoat. I haven't installed into my leather wheel though. Want the clearcoat to cure a bit more. Came out pretty nice. Not a pro paint job but it looks nice to me.
BTW, taking off the button clusters is easy. Just 4 torx screws holding them to the trim on the back side.
