Default What is this?

Was looking at my 2016 F150 SCrew Lariat this morning and noticed what looks like a camera in front of the rear view mirror. What is this? Anyone know?

Lane Guidance or Lane Keeping? The trapezoid shape of the section of windshield that isn't blacked out gives the system lines of reference to compare with the painted road markings.

The radar for Adaptive Cruise is located behind one of the black rectangular covers on the front bumper, to either side of the license plate.

It is the camera used to see road markings for lane departure warning as said above.

Lane departure system / rain sensing wipers. I have the same in my 2016 Lariat SE 502A with tech package.

Too bad that Ford didn't make a OEM dash cam as that would be the perfect spot for it.

So if I don’t have lane departure can I enable it somehow? I do have the 502a package but I’ve never been warned while departing my lane 😜

Below gear shift if there is a button that looks like the one circled you have lane departure.
