Default What is this?

First time driving my truck at night. Lariat 502A. When I first started it up I noticed a row of red lights come on and then go off, on the top of the dash, just under the windshield on the driver's side. I didn't see them on the passenger side. What are these lights for?

They are the lights that flash when you're approaching a car from behind too fast. You also get a beep when that happens.

Hey TxCowboy,
AFAIK; that is a heads-up display for your frontal collision warning system. If you are pulling up too close and too fast to the car ahead of you, it will go off, if someone pulls out in front of you too close and too slow, it will go off. Kinda scarey the first time it goes off, but I kinda like it now, gives you plenty of "heads-up" to react in time. Don't know that it does anything else off the top of my head, other than to flash on start up as a pretest.

You mean you have never had it go bananas when another car is turning in front and the truck thinks you are going to have a collision... That is what it's for. Red bar lights up and truck beeps.

Time to spend a little time with the owner's manual.

(owner's manual) Don't have one -OR- would like a digital, searchable desktop document?

Which models have this feature? Does it require an option? I've never seen this or am I just a good driver?
