Default Wet carpet on drivers side?

2020 F-150, xlt supercrew, no moon roof. I noticed that my drivers side front carpet was wet and I could hear the sound of water moving when braking/accelerating yesterday after an intense rain storm. I thought the water was in the door but it’s actually under the plastic running board you step on when entering the truck (front drivers side only). The carpet was wet but not the rubber mat on top of it. I read a few threads similar to this but I was wondering if anyone has had this problem with a 2020? It’s going to the dealer today but from what I read that is hit or miss.

Just noticed my 2018 has a wet passenger side floor board. Going to have the dealer look at it next time I get the oil changed.

Update: dealer had the truck and found a leak on the drivers side firewall.I was told by the service writer that a sheet metal seam was left wide open at the factory, no sealant was present. First they tried to seal it by removing the fender but couldn’t access it. Next they removed the dash and sealed it. All seemed well until the first rain storm. It still leaks but not as bad. I am scheduled to drop the truck on 8/20. Wish me luck. This is disappointing for a new truck.

I’ll mention that to the dealer and show them the pictures. Thanks!

Disappointing for sure. Glad you are getting it sorted out.

I wonder if you fixed it eventually.

I had the same problem last week; my truck is in the dealership now. They charged about 2k for removing the dash and resealing it.
