Default West Coast Carpetbagger SYNC Problem

Wassup guys! Just moved to Conway SC from LA and getting used to the humidity. Seems my synch on my 2016 F-150 is filing a protest to the weather as it has quit working. Tried deleting the phone to re-install, but it won't find it again. Also did a Master Re-set, but no go. I see from some of your posts that dealerships are blaming Ford for this issue and that the software update is tardy. Any hope out there for an earlier solution?

My old SYNC Gen1 does that a lot in my Fiesta, the only fix I know is to remove the SYNC APIM fuse, wait 5 minutes and put it back in, it's like rebooting a computer. After the power up, the SYNC and Bluetooth are fine for another 10 months or so, before I have to repeat the process.

Default Synch issue

Thanks for your responses guys. Problem solved. I went down to Conway Ford and one of the younger sales kids helped me. After some noodling, we realized that the dozen bluetooth devices in my phone menu might be clogging up the works. We “forgot” them all, including my phone, then re-booted BT by turning it off/on. Voila! Truck and phone synched, contacts and voice commands uploaded and we’re back in business.

Thanks for reporting back! I'm sure it will help someone in the future.

It seems the majority of issues between sync and phone turns out to be on the phone side.

Now that the OP posted results, it reminded me of an issue I had with my iphone and a BT speaker that I thought had died. I had to do the same thing on my phone and delete all the BT devices for it to work.

Just so you know, I grew up in the Southeast. You will NEVER get used to the humidity.

Some days you can tolerate the humidity better, but as a general rule it sucks.
