Hello folks!

I own 2018 f150 XLT model. It's not a new issue, just wanted to see this is a normal behavior. I'm not entirely sure how to explain it... Once a while when I start the truck, it feels like something is clicking/moving in transmission box... I would say it's similar to rough gear change. Does it make sense?
I always put the truck in park when it's parked. It happens on cold and hot engine, summer or winter.

Any idea what is it and it it's a normal behavior?

Thank you.

Mine does not do that, well at least at this time. Maybe if you include an audio recording of the sound and some specific on millage and engine, others might be more likely to respond. Good Luck

Right, it's 3.5 EcoBoost, about 28K millage. I will try to record the sound, but it more how it feels, don't remember if there is specific sound.

A rough gear change to me means it slams into gear. I've never had a rough gear change make a noise. The only sound I equate to a transmission shifting is a manual trans where you miss the gear and it grinds.

Are you sure you're not hearing the fuel pump prime?

No, I don't think so. I just noticed there is a oil leak in rear diff, I will take it to the dealer, I will ask them to take a look.
