Default Weird question about offsets

I currently have a -44 offset and my truck is 3” too wide to fit into the car wash tracks. Max is 7ft. How much would switching to -18 or -24 offset bring the wheels in?

Offset is in mm. Convert the diffenerence into inches and you will know.

but to answer the question, you'd need to go to a maximum of -5mm offset on the same width wheel to pull it in 3" overall. This also assumes the same size tire.

Lol that it is. I have a unlimited wash I like to go to and they do the inside and out and good for $85 a month. Switching to this -44 offset ended that and I wanna go back so I’m thinking about just buying another new set of wheels and tires and selling the 2 sets I already have.

This is the the swirl-lords way of making you two-bucket method hand wash your truck.

The negative offset is to convince you never to take your truck through an automatic car wash. 25.4 mm = 1"

I have the factory +44, took my truck to a new car wash several weeks ago and the brushes momentarily stopped and started back up. The roller made contact with my fender well molding, removed paint on the molding and scuffed the fender paint. Truck goes in on Wednesday for repair. The body guy thinks he can buff out the fender and just replace the molding. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I currently have 12” wide wheels and 12.5” tires. I would probably go to a 10” wide wheel and 12.5” tire. Would that make a difference?

At the same offset they will be pulled in 1" on each side. You'll need to go to a -30mm offset on a 10" wheel with the same 12.5" tire to just hit the 3" narrower mark.

i think most 10” wheels I’ve seen are running a -18 offset so I’d clear it . Thanks for the help man.

On a ****ty note I took my truck to the local Ford dealer today and they did a horrible job washing it and scratched it wtf! So now I’m without my truck while it gets fixed. She’s still pretty though.
