Default Weird engine issue today...

So today while driving, I approached a curve slowing down to around 45mph, made the curve, and when I gave it gas (somewhat heavy) coming out of the curve its like the engine shut off. RPMs dropped and there was nothing in the gas pedal. When I let off of the gas, the RPMs shot back up and I had power again. The hell was that?

Auto stop got the pedals mixed up?

It wasn't your traction control system preventing over steer was it? The little symbol indicating it's actively reigning you in is not overly obvious. With all the other information in front of me I miss it but I do feel it at times. There is a good thread on here and it's listed in the owners manual how to reduce the electronic nanny. Simply pressing the Traction Control button once won't give you race mode But once you get it figured out your tire salesman will be smiling ear to ear...

Sounds like traction control. That's exactly what it does.

Do you brake with your left foot? If I do and still have the brake pedal pushed down slightly unknowingly, when I give it gas with my right foot, the traction control or whatever will not let the truck accelerate until my left foot is completely off the brake. Darn safety feature anyway

Too many years with a clutch and using the left foot. Yeah, that thing that my wife has no idea on how to operate...LOL!!!

I'm impressed, I drive a forklift all day where I brake with my left foot and gas with my right, but every time I have tried driving my truck, I just can't do it!

Nope I don't break with my left foot... And this is a curve I take frequently, which i have always entered and exited in the same manner. I've had vehicles where traction control has kicked in, but this time it wasn't the case.
