Default Weight difference

Any ideas what the weight difference between my 2013 Screw XLT 4x4 5.0 would be compared to a 2015 RCSB XLT 4x4 2.7 Ecoboost.

Since Ford has advertised they removed 700lbs from the new F150 my guess would be at least that much.

I would guess it would be right at 1000 pounds. I am pretty sure the information is on the forum somewhere.

The reduction of 700 lbs is only for crew cab models. Since they have the most sheet metal, they will see the most reduction in weight over previous years.

2013 ~ 5586# vs 2015 ~ 4425#...you didn't specify 2013 WB, so weight is approx.

You can Google for more precise weights.

Right, but the OP is also asking about the delta between a current-gen SuperCrew and a next-gen regular cab.

I think the '14 SuperCrew 4x4 5.0 claimed 5,586 curb weight for the short-bed, and Ford says a 4x4 reg-cab 6.5' box with the 2.7 Ecoboost is 4,425.

That is the info I was looking for. I was just wondering how different it would feel from my current truck. I have 3.55 gears and I am looking at buying one with 3.55's again since I do alot of highway driving. I drove from Branson, MO to Tulsa, OK and back this weekend and only got 15.5mpg round trip in my truck this weekend. where I normally get close to 17 on my daily commute. I think that this 2.7 and 3.55 gear combo in a regular cab shortbed 4x4 is going to be perfect for my daily commute.

I think that RCSB weight is awful close to what I read the weight of a hellcat will be...
