Default Weathertech in-channel concern.....

I was in the process of installing these and as soon as I popped in the driver front visor and locked it in place i saw the bottom peice that is "supposed to Rest on the sill" started making a deep impression into the sill. So I then quickly removed it. Is this normal? It was still there the next day. Was is possible it wasn't lined up correctly? This is the peice with the clear rubber like trim strip at the bottom which should be preventing this from happening....

You may not have slid it up all the way. Mine rests on it only slightly (mines a 2012 though but I cant imagine its much different)
