Anyone find a weather app that works with Sync 3 that will display the current radar on the screen? I have Accu Weather, but it displays just basic info? Maybe I'm missing a setting on that App? Other apps that might work??

 

Sirius has that built in to the Travel Link.

Or RadarScope + Android Auto (or Carplay, I suppose... I don't use devices named after fruit).

 

But you will use operating systems named after candy? lol

 

RadarScope isn't compatible with AA from what I'm seeing. AA is very limited to Apps they see as distracting to the driver. Also, the XM TrafficLink only works with Sync3 that has Navigation.

 

After the 5 year subscription runs out. Only works if the truck has nav too, but it's clunky and does not work if using Carplay or AA. Been looking for one myself, would be nice to display the moving weather radar while driving.

 

I played around with RadarScope this afternoon, didn't work with AA. Did some searching on line and found that Android is hesitant on any weather radars.

What would be badass is if our trucks had HDMI input or allowed screen mirroring from our phones or tablets.

 

It would be cool if somebody posed a list of apps that were compatible with Sync
