Waze and Sync 3 integration

Does anyone know when Ford is going to come out with waze/google maps integration for android much like IOS?

I swapped the USB Port in my ‘16 this afternoon, with a really good surprise when connecting my iPhone : Waze was there (it was already with the Sync upgrade from 2.2 to 3.0) AND Google Map !

i didn’t expect that

I've been using android auto, but what I'm talking about is waze integration with the sync 3 screen like you find in IOS.

Pretty sure it has been there for months. I've been using Waze with Apple Car Play and Sync for several months.

What OP is talking about is not using Waze through carplay or Android auto. It's using it natively through syncs applink feature. I'm not for sure but I think the programming needs to be done on the Waze side not so much Ford's side. I agree it would be nice to use Waze without having to fire up Android auto.

My experience using Waze with Sync3 via my iPhone was not good. The integration is clunky and my iPhone got unusually warm. Waze works well through CarPlay.

I don’t see any disadvantage of not using Waze without CarPlay.
