It's probably because Waze has been on AA for a while, so they've had time to work out the bugs, while Waze has been on Carplay for a week or so.

Could be. Only complaint I remember is missing features in early AA versions. Never the connection problems that a couple on here seem to have. I seriously doubt there is a server bandwidth issue.

I know around here I would get lots of dropped calls and no service on my at@t company phone. I was always using my personal tmobile phone to contact the boss. Since I worked for at@t I thought it was kinda funny. Boss didn't.

^^^ This right here.

I too will have "cannot connect to server" issues quite often with Waze. I am not plugged into the truck when it happens. I think it's a Waze software issue.

In fact, today, I could not get Waze to load (even unplugging and using it without CarPlay), so I went to Google maps and within a few minutes turned onto a toll road and was told I had a 30 minute delay due to an accident... I could have easily taken a different toll road that runs parallel but was a few more miles down the road. Not sure why google maps did not tell me about the difference, but I am pretty sure Waze would have... if it would have loaded. Then, after about 20 tried, it loaded the routing... even when the routing loads I have times where the app just goes away. Car screen goes back to main carplay screen... and phone goes to home screen. This happens often also.

I am curious is anyone else is seeing this... or if it is just me... I would uninstall and reinstall Waze, but I don't want to lose the years of addresses in my history...
Make sure you don’t have multiple GPS apps running at the same time. Use privacy settings to turn off location data to disfavored apps.
