Yes, a FORScan setting would be great for that. I have a feeling it's maybe in the IPC module, which still has much to be mapped out for unknown addresses. I have attached the shift interlock wiring diagrams (column & Floor) if you want to experiment. I messed with it a little a while back but was unsuccessful. If you have an XLT the brake shift interlock module is above the brake pedal near the steering column.

Or if you want to spend $600, there is an after market option I posted earlier in this thread that will mirror your phone via HDMI while in motion.

Default How I tapped in

I just took an RCA cable and cut one end off. I then hooked the two wires to pins 34 and 35 on the APIM plug. Then I changed the one field at the listed address in Forscan. You have to remove the APIM (screen) to get to the plug. There are instructions how to do it on the forum. It isn't very hard....

I've got a Sync 2. You can load background photos all you want. You just need to convert them to 800x384 so they fit on the screen. Instructions on how to load them are in the manual. Put the picture on a USB drive, plug it in, go to settings on your radio. Select display, and hit "edit wallpaper." It will then go to your USB drive and you just select them. I've got a library of about 20 in there. For Sync 2, it shows up behind all the buttons/icons. I haven't tried to make that go away (don't think i can). If Sync 3 lets you go to to a "home" screen that just shows the wallpaper, I bet the picture stays there.

If you want Waze to work there is now a beta version that works with Android auto. It's not available in the Google play store but can be found from other sources. Just used it on a 1200 mile round trip. Can't wait for the full version to be released.
