I guess his reasoning is that the post is so old, he can be tough behind a keyboard and say stfu, and the odds of a rebuttal are slim lol.

Not sure about movies on our systems, I know when installing a 3rd party radio in my old truck the installer said he rigged it so it played DVDs while driving.

As far as USB sticks and our trucks, if you run into issues it is most likely due to the FILE SYSTEM TYPE.

NTFS is microsoft's newer file system, Fat32 seems to still have wide support.

If your thumb drive isn't working, check which file type you have, back up the contents and then change the file type (reformat - usually a right click on the drive will give you a menu)

Again, back up your data before doing this, it will erase the entire drive.

My wife shops. I drive.

I like watching a movie while I sit. It also keeps the little ones amused if they dont want to get out of the truck.

Just because you don't want it doesn't mean everyone else doesn't.

I got video to work in park on my 2015. I hooked an RCA video input to pin 34 (+) and 35 (-) of the APIM. I then changed APIM address 7D0-01-01 XXXX *XXX XXXX to 8 per the Forscan spreadsheet (8=Audio & Video & Rotary volume, 1=Audio Only & horizontal volume.) Voila!
Still hoping a Forscan guru will figure out how to make the APIM not see when I shift out of park. I don't want to watch videos. I want to mirror my phone (Waze) on the screen..

I don't want people texting and driving either. But that's just me I suppose.

The flash drive must be under 32Gb or 16Gb (I can't remember which). or it will not be able to index the song files.

Your images have to be under a certain dimension or file size in order for it to be recognized for backgrounds.

The flash drive may need to be re-formatted.

There are lots of topics on this. I find it hard to believe it "just doesn't work" given the required operation guidelines are met. Although, I work with technical equipment every day and understand **** happens...
128GB stick works just fine for me...
